When that door closed behind me, I admit that I had not a clue how to fend for myself outdoors. It seemed like an eternity before a wonderful person with Lee County Animal Services came to my rescue. At that point, I was anemic from fleas, malnourished, and badly in need of dental work. I was quickly accepted for a transfer to HSSC and my life is definitely looking brighter. All my health needs have been addressed and I am gaining weight. I overheard the veterinary staff say that I am their most gentle patient ever. They literally saved my life, so why wouldn't I be the best boy possible? Any potential adopters must be willing to groom me daily since Persian cats are blessed with long, luxurious coats. I have many years ahead and my new owner will also need to be financially ready to provide for my veterinary care. My diet is a prescription food called I/D and it helps me maintain a healthy digestive system. For that security, I give you my word that I will be magically devoted and amazingly responsive; you will wonder how you ever got along without me in your life
